一项新的研究证实，母乳喂养时间超过六个月的宝宝大脑发育更好。
这项研究成果发表在2010年10月20日出版的《儿科期刊》上，经过对一组10岁儿童表现的对比，研究证实，母乳喂养的宝宝在数学、阅读和写作方面的能力普遍要高于喝奶粉长大的宝宝。
这一现象在发育较女孩晚的男孩子身上表现更明显。这一研究成果也证实了世界卫生组织和美国小儿协会提倡母乳喂养至少六个月的倡议。
